Bottle Shock

The Cameo Cinema is proud to present the quintessential Napa Valley story: Bottle Shock. Recounting the events surrounding the now-famous "Judgment of Paris" tasting which launched Chateau Montelena and the rest of Napa Valley into the world of "serious" wine (that is to say, on par with the Old World), Bottle Shock is a fun and timely trip back through events and places with which we in Napa are intimately familiar.

Director Randall Miller delicately composes Bottle Shock as a cinematic love letter to California's wine country, where he shot the film in its sun-soaked entirety. Based on a true story, the film reveals America's initiation into and contribution to vinification, along with the enterprising artisans who love nothing more than to bottle it.

We at the Cameo are particularly proud to offer this film as a special two-week engagement as part of our commitment to our many friends in the wine industry. We are very fortunate to count as loyal patrons both the Barrett family and many spectacularly gifted vintners, winemakers, enologists and winery hospitality staff. This film is a hearty congratulations to everyone who lovingly labours in vineyards, cellars and chateaux to produce the world's finest (i.e., Napa Valley) wines.
