Tim Burton’s latest creation is a fantastical comedy about Barnabas Collins, an inveterate playboy, (played by Johnny Depp) who was turned into a vampire and imprisoned in the 18th Century by a scorned woman who happened to be a witch, played by Eva Green. Barnabas is inadvertently set free two centuries later and returns to his ancestral home, Collinwood Manor which has fallen into ruin and he finds that his dysfunctional descendants are in need of his protection. Michelle Pfeiffer is Elizabeth Collins Stoddard, Jonny Lee Miller is Roger Collins, and Helena Bonham Carter is Dr. Julia Hoffman.
