Campbell Scott's Big Night remains a culinary favorite, anchored by stellar performances from Stanley Tucci and Tony Shalhoub as Italian immigrant brothers who open their dream restaurant in 1950s New Jersey. Their restaurant, Paradise, is floundering as Chef Primo’s dedication to classic Italian cuisine clashes with American diners wanting spaghetti and meatballs. In a final effort to save the restaurant, the brothers put on an evening of incredible traditional Italian dishes, in the anticipation of a promised visit by the Italian-American bandleader Louis Prima. Big Night is credited with helping kick off a revolution in American food culture and fostering an appreciation for authentic Italian cooking.
