Join New York Times bestselling author Anna Malaika Tubbs for what promises to be a timely discussion of her new book, "Erased: What American Patriarchy Has Hidden From Us.” Journalist Holly Hubbard Preston will moderate and there will be a meet-and-greet and book signing with the author following the discussion. Complimentary wine and light bites will also be available at this exciting author event.
In ”Erased," Anna applies her signature blend of approachable yet rigorous analysis of how a fabricated hierarchy became so deeply ingrained over time. From the founding fathers to the current Supreme Court justices; from the treatment of enslaved women to the American maternal health crises, from the exclusion of women in the Constitution to the continued lack of an Equal Rights Amendment, she brings together academic research, the stories of freedom fighters both past and present, and her own experiences to reveal what is erased in the wake of American patriarchy.
Scheduled for a May 20 Release, "Erased" will be available for purchase at the event or at WILD PLUM BOOKS on Main Street in St. Helena, as well as the NAPA BOOKMINE.
