The new documentary “Nobu” will be the star of August's CinemaBites!
“Nobu” examines culinary legend Nobuyuki Matsuhisa’s empire, offering an intimate portrait of a man who has redefined global gastronomy alongside his business partners Robert De Niro and Meir Teper.
The film grants unprecedented access into Nobu’s world, revealing the alchemy and precision behind his signature dishes, and the inspirations behind his innovations that revolutionized tradition-bound Japanese cuisine.
Lovia Gyarke of The Hollywood Reporter calls the film “a glowing portrait of Nobu Matsuhisa.”
Savor Culinary 'bites' inspired by the film and created by Chef Elliot Bell of Charlie's Napa Valley. Chef will also be present for a Q&A following the film
Napa Valley wines and craft beers will be available for purchase at concessions.
Proceeds benefit St. Helena Farmers' Market. Tickets are $35 inclusive. Doors open at 5:00 pm; screening at 6:00 pm.
