Opening Night at the Festival will feature the world premiere of a new episodic series from Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson. The Swirled Cup explores the impact of
the pivotal 1976 Judgment of Paris tasting that reshaped the 8,000-year-old wine industry in just one generation. This groundbreaking new series will take you on a vibrant journey into the culture of wine, exploring how the combination of soil, climate, topography, and human tradition - 'terroir'- not only gives life to the vines, but also defines the personality of each wine. Sommelier Amanda McCrossin will moderate a Q&A panel following the film.
